Paradisus Riviera Cancun & Another Jen Repeat Customer Report
Hi Jennifer! How are you? Yes, it is unfortunately back to reality for us. We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Paradisus. I have to say, I got REALLY, really spoiled at the Paradisus in the Dominican, especially with the extra services. However, this was a truly wonderful vacation and I would definitely go back. I loved Mexico….the weather was perfect (for once, no rain on our vacation!) and the beach was pristine. The sand was incredibly soft and white and the water very clear. The hotel was very well kept and I liked that it was small….more manageable and warm feeling. We asked for an upgraded room and actually got one with a partial ocean view, which was awesome. The staff was very friendly, the service great and the food excellent, particularly in the a la carte restaurants. I am not a big fan of buffets, so we tried to only eat there at breakfast, which was also excellent. I think if you go there with the right frame of mind….that you have to get up very early to get your spot at the beach or the pool in the shade, or get in line first thing in the a.m. for dinner reservations, it is a great place. And we were in that frame of mind. It all worked out great, especially since I am sure it was particularly more crowded being spring break.
You would have laughed at us….we would get up early every day (as in 6 a.m. just because the kids always get up early), play at the beach or pool all day, have dinner around 7 p.m., and all of us would just go to bed around 9. It was very comical, but because we only had one big room, it was the thing to do! It was just all that more relaxing... no complaints here. We have no idea what the night life was like as we went in long before then but did not care one bit. We went to Xel-ha and Tullum for the day on a tour and thoroughly enjoyed that. Next time I would spend a day at each of them as they had so much to offer. We also went to Playa de Carmen one late afternoon to walk around, shop some, and have dinner….much nicer than I ever expected and a great restaurant recommendation and reservation by the concierge (La Parillo restaurant). Kennedy snorkeled a lot at Xel-ha, and Konner decided he wanted to try snorkeling the next day in the pool. Go figure…he is 3. At La Parillo, the mariachi singers helped us sing for Kennedy’s b-day, which was a bit hit along with the lemonade in the margarita glassed that looked like ours. I am in big trouble though as I actually gained five pounds, most likely from all the pina colados and rum punches I consumed. You know it is a good vacation when it is 10:30 a.m. and a mango daiquiri sounds just about right!
The only thing we did not get to do was take the boat out to snorkel by the hotel, which was our fault. We were so bummed! We did not go the first 2 days because we were hanging out and going to Xel-ha, then the middle of the trip, it was too windy, so no small crafts were allowed out. Then the last day we tried to go and they would not let Konner go because he was too small….not even to just sit in the boat. Had we thought about that, which we should have realized, we would have taken turns going on separate days. But that is OK….just something to look forward to if we go back. And we did see many fish at Xel-ha.
As you can tell, another wonderful trip and recommendation….I can’t thank you enough yet again! I look forward to staying in touch and working with you again! All the best!

The Barcelo Maya Palace is a wonderful inclusive resort. We would not hesitate to visit this resort again. Hope you enjoyed all the pictures we sent of the resort. The El Dorado Resort was fabulous (as you promised). We were in a junior swim-up suite in building 52. The service equaled that of our 5 star Broadmoor hotel here in Colorado Springs. We loved the "a la carte" offerings in the restaurants, rather than buffet lines.
The presentation of every single plate put in front of us could have been a front page picture of Gourmet or Bon Appetit Magazines.
Candle light dinner on the beach was unforgettable.
We sincerely appreciated your great service in setting this up for us.
And we are already thinking about our next trip to EDR (El Dorado Royale).

Hey Heather!
Sorry I took so long to reply. I was waiting til we got back from Jiminy Peak so that I could tell you about it too. Both trips were great.
El Dorado automatically upgraded us (Heather at Berman Travel requested an upgrade as everyone at Berman Travel does) to the Infinity swim-ups. Service and food were both great. Loved laying in the sun every day.
Jiminy Peak was also really nice. The condos we stayed in were very nice and the location couldn't be beat...like 30 feet from the chairlift! The only draw back was that we were four families in 2 condos so we didn't hang out with everyone at the same time.
Here's our photo from El Dorado. We need to take a break from traveling for a while to pay some bills but I'll definitely contact you when the need arises.

The wedding was fabulous. It did rain that day but Plan B was perfect. We hope to have pictures in a few weeks and I will send some to you so you can see for yourself. All of my guests seemed pleased with the resort and how lovely it was. By the way, I enjoyed the Royal Service (they literally do almost everything you desire- I liked the special treatment, hard to get used to my regular life again). The service was outstanding and Denise was easy to work with and made my dream wedding come true.
I think everyone had a fairly uneventful air travel
The resort was great but so was our adventure the week after. Our group repelled down waterfalls, canopy tours zip lines, witnessed the volcano flow red lava and met so many nice Ticos. It was a trip I will never forget and I can't wait to go back!
Thank you for all of your work, everyone seemed very pleased with how easy it was to make the arrangements through you. Others made arrangements on their own and some of the cars were not there to pick them up and a few other problems. But NOT the people who booked through you, you did a GREAT JOB! Thank you! and thank you for the gift bag of coffee, candies and picture frame. I love it!

We've been to Mexico 4 times before, this was our 25th Wedding anniversary, and again all I say can is WOW, the Royal Suites at the Grand Palladium, Riviera Resort and Spa is a wonderful resort, everything good that you may read about this place is true, great service, fantastic room, and hospitality couldn't have been better....
